Retrieving IP's

  • Introduction
    To do most attacks on victims, you must have their ip adress. There are many methods out there, i am only going to list the most effective once i know of. A person's IP (Internet Protcol) adress is the most important information you need.

  • AOL Instant messenger
    Tell the victim you want to send him a picture file or something. Try to make a direct connection with him/her. When a direct connection is established the victims ip is logged in. So basically all you need to do is make a direct connection with the victim and you have easy access to their Internet Protocol adress.

  • NETSTAT
    Next thing you need to do is open up MS-DOS. For all you newbies go to Start, Run, and type in command. Another thing after you make a direct connection don't close the AIM windows untill you perform the NETSTAT command. Now assuming you have DOS open, type the following.

    Netstat -n ip adress

    You should get the following output.


  • Instructions
    You want to perform the netstat -n procedure before you make the direct connection and after. Reason being because you have to compare the two outputs. Now thta you have both outputs open, look at the foreign adress column. You will find an IP adress in the second out put that you performed after the direct connection that does not exist in the first output. That will be the adress of your victim :)
